2005 Red Petals

Tasting Note: Pleasant dried berry aromas. Smooth and fuller-bodied with good fruit and acidity. Finishes crisp. Serve slightly chilled on its own or with pasta and red meats.

Vintage Note: Good weather conditions in Spring were followed by a moderately warm summer which produced adequate rainfall. September and early October turned into a superb Indian Summer with plenty of sunshine with higher than normal temperatures during the day and lovely cool nights. All this resulted in a high sugar concentration in the grapes with very pleasant acidity levels at the same time. Harvest for began on September 25th and was finished by October 6th.
