Blue birds would steal hazelnuts from the delivery trucks at the Westnut hazelnut factory in Dundee, Oregon and became known as "Blue Pirates". Our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are produced at this renovated historical building, now called "12th and Maple Wine Company" and is dedicated to the bluebird that once pirated the hazelnuts - The Blue Pirate.
